About The Best of Mt Shasta
Andrée Morgana is the Visionary Founder of The Best of Mt Shasta Conference & Festival.
In her words, about The Best of Mt Shasta:
If you ask people why they moved to this area or why they are visiting, you commonly hear “because of the mountain” or “the mountain called me”. There are so many ways to experience the mountain; the exquisite views from the interstate and from your home, or the opportunities to hike, ski and climb the mountain. For others, there is the exploration of the spirituality of the mountain.
The Local People
In 2009 I started The Best of Mt Shasta Conference & Festival because I observed visitors primarily come to Siskiyou County for the mountain and the recreation but they don’t have an opportunity to actually meet the local people. Now with The Best of Mt Shasta you can connect with the people of the Mount Shasta area to deepen your experiences and add perspective to your visit.
The Conference & Festival
The event begins on the first day in the morning with an Opening Ceremony by the indigenous people of our area. There are over 40 speakers, primarily from Siskiyou County, giving one hour workshops on Native Healing, Spirit & Spirituality, Health & Wellness and Our Environment. Outdoor we have a Festival with music, vendors, food, tai chi, yoga and dance.
Participants of the workshops and festival come away from the event transformed. It is amazing to see! Ancient wisdom from indigenous traditions, profound spirituality, leading edge alternative health and wellness programs and exposure to many of the environmental innovations in Siskiyou County has quite an impact on visitors and locals alike.
Who Am I?
We live at a time when more and more people are questioning their purpose; who am I, why am I here, where am I going? People come for all over the world to Mount Shasta looking for direction and connection.
Right here in Siskiyou County we have an abundance of individuals who are uncovering greater insights, no matter how unbelievable their findings may appear to be. They are courageous and devote their time to seeking new understandings that are contributing to the awakening consciousness of the 21st century.
Enjoy The Best of Mt Shasta; explore new possibilities and ask the deeper questions.
